Ati Rudram 2019
Ati Rudram is the ultimate form of worship of Lord Shiva.
This powerful worship is being conducted for the singular purpose of enhancing the good of all beings in all the worlds and universal peace and prosperity.
By the Grace of Lord Shiva, SDBBS and SRI SIVAN TEMPLE are pleased to inform that they are jointly planning to conduct Ati Rudram from 1 February to 6 February 2019.
Ati Rudram 2019 will be the foremost activity towards the Maha Kumbabhishekam of Sri Sivan Temple scheduled in early 2020.We welcome you to join in this holy and spiritual experience.
What is Ati Rudram?
Ati Rudram is a supreme offering to Lord Shiva to ward off all the papas (misdeeds) and brings mangalam to the whole universe.
During Ati Rudram, 121 persons chant 11 Ekadasa Rudram, resulting in Rudram being chanted 14,641 times.
Simultaneously Ekadasa Rudra Yagam is performed by 11 persons. On the concluding day, the Kalasa Teertham is offered as Abhishekam to Sri Sivan in the sanctum.

Call for Chanters
We need about 150 chanters who will have to commit for all the sessions in these six days. Please note during this period there are four holidays (weekend and CNY holidays) minimising any official leave to be taken to a maximum of 2 days. Kindly do not miss the Golden Opportunity that is happening for the first time in Singapore.
Requirements for Chanters
- To volunteer as a chanter you must be able to fluently chant Rudram and Chamakam (chanting from the book is permitted).
- Priority will be given to volunteer chanters who participate for more days.
- Take a sankalpa (make a commitment) to join as a chanter on all the 6 days. For minimal days of leave from work; you to get maximum benefit from the Ati Rudram.
- If for some reason, you are unable to attend on all 6 days, we recommend that you participate as a chanter for atleast 4 days.
Once registered, we will send you events updates on a regular basis and also tools to help you refresh your Rudram chanting skills.
